Device Protection Fee

Device protection fee for overseas / local broadband wifi rental service is effective since 30th Dec 2019

Applicable fees: RM 20 per unit of device

Please take note device protection fee is an OPTIONAL service for customers and subjected to the following terms and condition

Device protection fee cover :

  • Missing or damaged USB cable

  • Missing or damaged Pouch

  • Water damaged of the device

  • Device appearance seriously damaged, but remains functional

  • Screen of device seriously scratched, and/or charging port blocked/damaged but Equipment remains functional


Device protection fee DOES NOT COVER:

  • Missing or loss of the device

  • Late return fees

  • Cancellation fees

Device Protection Fee is only applicable for Rental Period, not applicable for purchased device.

Once the ownership has changed to user, the device protection fee is not applicable.

Loyalty Points- My Roaming Points

Roaming Points can be redeemed for discount voucher of Roaming Man Wifi Rental for the time being.

For Redemption of Roaming Points:-

RM 1 = 100 Roaming Points

(Eg. 500 Roaming Points can redeem a RM 5 off for your next wifi rental booking)

1. Redemption of Roaming Points will be subjected to not more than 10% discount of the total booking amount.

2. Roaming Points will be valid for life time use in accordance with operation of Roaming Man at region Malaysia

3. If customers choose to redeem her / his Roaming Points for booking of wifi rental,  he / she will not be able to  

    apply "Coupon Code" for the same booking.

4. Roaming Points will not be applicable for products which are on sales or promotion.

5. Roaming Man reserve 100% rights on distribution & redemption of Roaming Points.

6. Roaming Man is not exchangeable for cash.

Do I get unlimited data usage?

Generally, data usage is unlimited, but in some regions and countries, FUP (Fair Use Policy) may be applied when an individual user has exceeded a certain amount of data within 24 hours. When the data usage reaches 500MB or 3GB (depends on the package you have selected) within a day (24 hours), the connection speed may slow down to 384kbps for download and upload speeds. The connection speed will recover to high speed again the following day.

Will it work on an airplane?

Sorry, your ROAMING MAN hotspot will not work on an airplane. 

ROAMING MAN partners with local cellular carriers to provide outstanding data service for our users. Only satellite technology works up in the air.

Will it work on a cruise ship?

ROAMING MAN will work by ports or on land where there is cell reception, but not far out at sea (only satellite technology is available far from land). However, ROAMING MAN Hotspots will work when your ship gets closer to ports and at cruise destinations. The closer you are to land, the better connection you will receive.

What is 4G high speed?

4G high-speed internet enables up to 150Mbps for download and 50Mbps upload. You may get 3G internet speeds  in some countries because our ROAMING MAN WiFi service is based on the local internet service provider. The device may have weak or no signals in airports, mountains, highways, ports, basements, islands, high seas, etc. 

Can I check my data usage?

Daily data usage may be checked with any mobile browser. Enter into the address window and your daily data usage will be displayed. A user guide with detailed instructions will be included in your ROAMING MAN pouch. 

Do I have to configure anything before connecting my device to ROAMING MAN?

No configuration is necessary. Turn on the ROAMING MAN device then select the wifi hotspot name on your device. Enter the password located on the back of ROAMING MAN device.

What devices does it work with?

Any Wi-Fi enabled device, such as smartphones, laptops and tablets, will work with our ROAMING MAN WiFi hotspot device. Up to 5 devices may be connected simultaneously.
